(FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)
Q. Why is the information leased?
A. Approximately three changes per year occur in each firm. In Las Vegas alone this represents over 100,000 changes from one year to the next.
In addition to changes, promotions, mergers and deletions we add thousands of new businesses to the database, emails and websites. Up to date information is essential in a rapidly changing marketplace.
Q. Why is it more expensive to lease the database on CD-ROM than it is to lease the directory when it is the same information and the same number of companies?
A. The database on CD-ROM offers numerous options and greater flexibility than the printed directory.
You can custom select printouts or letters for your salespeople.
You can monitor sales results as well as follow up systems for call backs.
From a management standpoint you are supplying qualified leads in equal numbers to your sales force.
Example: Printout personalized letters to law firms in the 89117 zip code with 10 employees and greater.
Supply the salesperson with a printout of these leads for telephone or fax follow up along with a printout for you to monitor the success ratio of the salesperson.
Q. The directory lease includes monthly paper updates. The database on CD-ROM is also available with monthly updates. Is the information the same?
A. No, only a small portion of the total number of firms are printed in the monthly paper updates. The monthly disks and CD-ROM's contain thousands of changes not contained in the paper version.Businesses are reviewed and selected based on who we feel have changes that are of interest to our clients. Some of these firms are printed in monthly paper updates. Example: A fast food restaurant has a new assistant manager. We will update that in the master database but we do not consider that of importance to our clients. Should there be a new bank President, a new VP of Operations at a commercial real estate firm, a new branch manager at an insurance company, these are examples of what we would print in monthly updates.
Q. How often are the businesses updated?
A. Each business is called and updated once a year. Examples of businesses that we would call once a year may be gas stations whereas certain industries are called three times a year.
Firms with 50 or greater employees are called three times a year or when we may be alerted to specific changes. We now offer custom updates.
Q. How do you obtain your information and what is your source?
A. Basically every business with a telephone number is called. We take the raw data, company name, address and phone number and make an actual research call to that firm to confirm additional valuable data. We use approximately 20 different sources to keep the database up to date.
Q. How many firms refuse to give you information?
A. Less than 1% of firms refuse as this listing is free.
We put a IR code to alert our clients to those businesses which refuse information. Often they are not active firms and are of little or no interest to our clients.
Q. Is there a report that is complete and up to date of new businesses?
A. Yes, this is an additional service we offer.
Q. Is there a report of companies that are planning to move?
A. Yes, every two weeks we can fax or e-mail firms planning to move, open or expand. These come with various footnotes including when they may move and whether or not they know the new location.
Q. We have shopped around and found other lists for less money than Prime Prospects. Why should we pay more?
A. Simple, you get what you pay for. Prime Prospects is the best most complete and most up to date business information available.
Why pay for a database that only does part of the job never knowing how many of your valuable leads were missed.
Q. Do you guarantee your accuracy?
A. We believe so strongly in the quality of our information we will pay your postage on all returns over 99%.
Simply return the non delivered mail to us within 60 days of your mailing date and we will send you a check.
